Borwick Fold holiday cottages stand in 3 ½ acres of gardens, fell land and paddock and is managed for wildlife - with conservation and the environment in mind. Owls hunt on the property and deer and red squirrels frequently visit us. A hide, created to attract wildlife, provides views over the fells and to our nearby watering hole. Dibley, our black Labrador play's in the courtyard. Pygmy goats and free range geese in the paddock, are occasionally joined by Exmoor ponies during the summer - all doing their bit for the environment browsing on brambles and wild flowers. The bird life is superb and the resident swallows and house martins are a particular joy. We regret that because of the above we are unable to accept pets.
Leave your car in our off-road parking and take to the hills. We have a bike store with a drying area for wet, outdoor clothing and a laundry room. On your return relax with one of the many books, a game of Petanque [i.e. French Boule] on the pitch provided or dine al-fresco whilst enjoying views to Esthwaite Water.
